The symptoms of oral cavity and oropharyngeal include:

  • The most common symptom is to have a sore in the mouth that does not cure
  • Lack of sensation on the tongue or other area of the mouth
  • Changes in the voice
  • A clump or mass in the neck
  • Thickening in the cheek
  • Bad breath
  • Swelling of the jaw causing dentures to feel uncomfortable
  • Having trouble or chewing food
  • Trouble in moving the jaw or tongue
  • Loss of weight
Please keep in mind that many of the aforementioned symptoms may also occur due to reasons other than cancer. Therefore, it is advisable to get the symptoms investigated by a dentist first.
