Wegener Granulomatosis
Wegener Granulomatosis is a rare disease that causes inflammation of blood vessel and restricting blood flow to various organs. The exact cause is unknown, but it is an autoimmune disorder. It is uncommon in children, but most common in adults between 40-60yrs.


Symptoms
 Sinusitis is the most common symptoms; other includes fever, nose bleeds, blood in urine, ear infection, chest pain, joint pains. If the condition worsens, it damages kidney or lungs and also causes anaemia.

Diagnosis & Treatment

Early diagnosis is very important because the disease worsens rapidly. Treatment is focus in stopping the inflammation process by suppressing the immune system. Prescription includes corticosteroids medication, Immune suppressant drugs and biologic therapy. For kidney failure, transplant is needed to restore normal function.
