Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST) Symptoms: How to Identify Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST)

People who are victims of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors or GIST develop a rare type of sarcoma most often in the walls of the stomach. They can either be benign or malignant.
People with GIST do not show any signs at the early stages. At the advanced stages, the patients may have the following symptoms:
·         Abdominal discomfort or pain
·         Appearance of blood in stools or vomits
·         The patient will often fall sick with symptoms of nausea
·         Excessive fatigue and tiredness
·         Loss of appetite



·         Anemia or a reduction in the blood cell count
