In most cases, the primary sign of penile
cancer could be a change within the skin of the member. The skin could change colour,
become thicker, or tissue could build up in one space.
Some men may notice
ulceration (sore) or a lump on the member.
A persistent discharge (drainage), usually
with a foul smell, may be present below the foreskin.
Swelling at the top of the member, particularly
once the foreskin is contracted, is another common sign that penile cancer is
present.
If the cancer spreads from the member, it
most frequently travels first to body fluid nodes within the groin. This can
make those body fluid nodes swell.
