Osteosarcoma Symptoms: How to Identify Osteosarcoma

The most common symptoms that may develop if a person has osteosarcoma are as follows:

  • Pain in the bone: Initially, the pain in the bone may occur sporadically and then it becomes more unbearable, especially at night.

  • Limitation of movements: Joints may become rigid making it difficult for the patient to move around properly. They may also develop a limp.


  • Swelling: Swelling or redness can be noticeable if the tumor is on the bone that is on the surface of the body. However, if it is located in other places like on the pelvic region, it may not be detectable.
