Lung Carcinoid Tumor Symptoms: How to Identify Lung Carcinoid Tumor

Lung carcinoid tumours generally occur from the growth of cells. This disease is seen in the body due to malignant growth which generates from cells inside the lungs. 

These cells usually regulate the flow of air and blood through the lungs. This malignant cell-growth is also known as neuroendocrine lung tumours and lung carcinoids.

Environmental factors like chemicals and smoke are not the cause of Lung carcinoids.  These generally develop from glands beneath the surface of the large air passages and the cause can be endocrinal factors. 

Microscopic clusters of neuroendocrine cells in a particular part of the lung can be the cause as diagnosis shows these clusters.

Removing the tumor is the only treatment that can leave the patient in a better-off condition. This disease does not respond to any chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
