Partial Hip Replacement Surgery: Before & After Partial hip replacement

Partial hip replacement is formerly known as hemiarthoplasty, where the Femoral head of the hip joint could get replaced. It is also called as the ball.

The socket will not get replaced; the socket will be replaced with a prosthetic by deep examination by acetabulum.

Partial hip replacement is done in major cases like broken, traumatic and fractured hips. This procedure is a replacement but not a treatment for bone diseases. In partial hip replacement if there is a fracture in the socket and it cannot be pinned, it should get replaced but still it would get remain strong. For reference see partial hip implants.
