Vitrectomy Surgery: Before & After Vitrectomy

This surgery is to remove vitrous humor from the eye. In the front structure of the eye anterior vitrectomy it removes the small portion of the vitreous because these are tangled in the intraocular lens.

In the deeper part of the eye the group of operation are accomplished, general term for the group of the operation are pars plan vitrectomy. By this way it clears the eye internal jelly.


Eye drops are used after the operation for the patients who under goes this operation to heal the eye. In some operation cases heavy lifting is avoided for some days. To keep retina in the place a gas bubbles replaced or may be placed inside the eye.
