Proctocolectomy Surgery: Before & After Proctocolectomy

This is a kind of surgery which will help to remove the rectum and all the parts of it or some part of the colon. For familial adenomatous polyposis and ulcerative colitis this surgery is the most common method and accepted.

This kind of procedure is considered as a cure of ulcerative colitis, this kind of disease will attack only on the intestine and as well to the rectum, and the disease cannot suddenly outburst, but extra symptoms of intestine will get remained normally.




In some cases like Crohn’s disease the large intestine gets damaged fully and may cause complications this so called proctocolectomy is been performed.
