Revision Hip Surgery: Before & After Revision hip surgery

This is also known as revision total hip arthroplasty, this is a kind of procedure which will be a replacement of previous hip joint which is artificial, and will get replaced with a new prosthesis.

The use of bone grafts may also be require for revision hip surgery, it may be a autograft. In this kind the procedure would be like replacing the bone from other part of the patient’s body. Or other procedure is called allograft, in this case the bone tissue will be taken from other donor.

In general revision hip surgery has three major purposes restoring the patient’s ability, relieving pain in affected hip and removing a damaged prosthesis.
