This is a device which is inserted
into a major vein which will prevent a blood clot from the lungs. This is the
purpose of clotting the blood which passes to the lungs.
The thrombus clot which will travel
to the lungs is called as pulmonary embolism, also the thrombus in the venous
system in which it is deep as it is known to the circulation part which brings
back the blood.
This will represent a disorder of the
normal clotting of blood. The vena cava filter is been prescribed to patients
who cannot respond to the medications which helps in dissolving the clot.
