This is a surgery which was been in history since 3000 years old, in which tonsils are removed from recess in the pharynx side, and also called as tonsillar fossa. This procedure is done in appearance of acute tonsils, sleep surgery for sleep apnea, and also nasal airway obstruction.

In children pharyngeal tonsil are generally removed only once, that is the procedure which is called adenoidectomy. In United States it is commonly performed for children’s, and also it was been upgraded as procedure wise and also minimally invasive.


For the past decades tonsils are been removed completely called as tonsillectomy and problems like bleeding and including pain will assist for resurgence in interest.
