Lymphangiomatosis

Lymphangiomatosis
It refers to the cyst or tumor (oma) or condition (tosis) of lymphatic system (lymph) and vascular sytem (angi).


SYMPTOMS:
It usually affects multi – system. Signs of include wheezing, cough dyspnoea and short breathiness, coughing of blood, dizziness, pleural or pericardial effusion, anxiety, vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, anaemia, ascites and pain.        
                   

DIAGNOSIS:       
There are many diagnostic tools. X-rays, HRCT and MRI are done. Pathological destruction of bone is usually seen.    
                     

TREATMENT:             

Treatment is symptomatic. Surgical resections, pleurectomy, MCT are among the procedures that are done to relieve the condition.
