Lymphoma

Lymphoma

It is a group of tumors that develop from lymphocytes. There are usually two main groups of the tumors as follows Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The other type’s are multiple myeloma and immunoproliferative disease.

SYMPTOMS:
The symptoms include lymphadenopathy, night sweats, fever, weight loss, anorexia, dyspnoea, tiredness and itching.

DIAGNOSIS:
The diagnostic procedures include lymph node biopsy, flow cytometry, immuno phenotyping and FISH testing.

TREATMENT:

It depends on the grade of the cancer. Treatments include watchful waiting for low-grade tumor to surgical involvement and radiotherapy.
