Marburg Hemorrhagic Fever

Marburg Hemorrhagic Fever
It is a very severe disease of humans and non-human primates which are caused by Marburg viruses and ravn virus.

SYMPTOMS:
The disease shows the presence of macula papular rash, petechiae, purpura and ecchymoses. Symptoms include dyspnoea, oedema and conjunctival injection. Later stages lead to coma and death. It also leads to multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and focal tissue necrosis.

DIAGNOSIS:
It is based on clinical features. Immuno fluorescense assay is also done.

TREATMENT:

There are no specific treatments. Treatments are based on symptoms.
