Poland Syndrome

Poland syndrome

It is an infrequent birth fault considered by underdevelopment or nonappearance of the chest muscle (pectoralis) on one side of the body, and typically also lattice of the fingers (cutaneous syndactyly) of the hand on the same side (the ipsilateral hand).

Symptoms
One undersettled pectoral muscle.

Diagnosis
When the vicissitudes of Poland Syndrome are renowned, the analysis can be supposed in the newborn period. 

Particular studies (x-rays, computerized tomography [CT scans]) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies may be used to define the structure of the complicated area(s). 

Such a sympathetic is essential for reconstructive surgery.

Treatment

Re-constructive surgery is the main cure for those with Poland disease.
