Polycythemia Vera

Polycythemia Vera
It is a bone marrow illness that clues to an abnormal upsurge in the amount of blood cells. The red blood cells are typically pretentious.

Symptoms
Trouble breathing when lying down, Excess bleeding, Dizziness, Headache, Full feeling in the left upper abdomen (due to enlarged spleen), Itchiness, especially after a warm bath, Red skin coloring, especially of the face, Shortness of breath, Symptoms of blood clots in veins near the skin surface (phlebitis).


Diagnosis
The fitness care provider will do a physical exam.

Treatment

A technique called phlebotomy is used to reduction blood depth. One unit of blood (about 1 pint) is detached each week until the amount of red blood cells drops. The cure is sustained as needed.
